Women in transport

Women make up 47 per cent of the UK workforce yet remain underrepresented in the transport sector accounting for only 20 per cent of workers. At HCT Group, we want to play our part in empowering women to have successful careers in the transport industry. We do this by creating a positive, supportive environment for all our employees – and female colleagues in particular. Meet some of our champions for women in transport.

“This job goes to the centre of what I’m about. Although I spent 18 years working with ex-offenders, the connection here is that community transport and mainstream transport are about enabling people and helping them get out and about and live fuller and fruitful lives – Community Transport is a lifeline for so many individuals; I am very proud to be a part of enhancing the lives of others through this. That’s what makes me tick and that’s what made me tick at the beginning.”
