Fleet Engineering and Compliance Manager, £Competitive, Leeds

We are seeking a Fleet Engineering and Compliance Manager to join our Yorkshire Division.

The role is primarily based at our Leeds Depot on Water Lane, with travel to other depots in the Leeds and Wakefield area as required. We offer a competitive salary and the opportunity for personal and professional development within both the role and the organisation.

The role will involve ensuring that all fleet maintenance is planned, managed and carried out within the required schedule - meeting all vehicle and legislative requirements and ensuring that Group health and safety and budget parameters are complied with.

The successful applicant will need to demonstrate the knowledge and ability to plan and manage the maintenance and servicing of a fleet of vehicles, plus knowledge of and ability to ensure compliance with all relevant legislation and engineering standard operating procedures. You will also need to demonstrate the ability to provide leadership and staff motivation with your department, have excellent communication skills at all levels – both internal and external – and have the drive to exceed expectations.

Applicants require either a Transport Manager’s CPC qualification or the capacity and capability to attain this. Experience of working within the road passenger transport industry would be a distinct advantage. A full job description is available here.

Drivers, Wandsworth, London, £comp, 25 hrs per week

We are recruiting drivers to work on our contracts providing Special Educational Needs transport in Wandsworth.

Based out of Frogmore Depot on Dormay Street, we offer a competitive rate of pay, a minimum of 25 hours per week during school terms times, approx 39 weeks per year. Additional overtime may also be available.

Drivers will require a full PCV licence and must be able to pass an enhanced DBS check. Experience of working with disabled people would be a distinct advantage. A full job description is available here.

Passenger Assistants, Wandsworth, London, £comp, 25 hrs per week

We are recruiting passenger assistants to work on our contracts providing Special Educational Needs transport in Wandsworth.

The role of Passenger Assistants will be to support the clients during transportation from their homes to a school and other destinations as is necessary.

Successful candidates will need to have good communication skills, demonstrate an understanding of disability issues, and display a caring, patient and level headed attitude in the delivery of the service. You will have a genuine interest in working with vulnerable people and have the ability to communicate with people in a clear, pleasant and friendly manner. Social Enterprise Champions Programme Leader

We are looking for well-networked entrepreneur to design, implement, and lead an innovative Social Enterprise Champions programme.

The Champions programme connects our frontline staff with our social mission.  Engaging with our 950-strong staff is vital if we are to achieve our potential as a social enterprise, building the understanding that we exist to benefit our communities - not profit from them.

Each year, small groups of our frontline staff – bus drivers, passenger assistants, administrators – embark on a programme that has previously included:

  • Training sessions about social enterprise
  • Visits to other social enterprises in Bristol, Leeds and London
  • Visits to our own projects / service users
  • Coaching and support to help them get the message across to their colleagues
  • Open forums with the CEO

Please note that we will be offering a contract to provide a service to HCT Group, not an offer of employment.  The closing date is the 31st August, 2016.

MyBus drivers, Leeds and Wakefield depots, from £8.80 per hour

CT Plus Yorkshire currently has a number of vacancies at its Leeds and Wakefield depots for qualified PCV drivers to deliver its MyBus home to school services.

A variety of vacancies currently exist as term time only drivers operating from our Leeds depot. Applicants must hold a valid Category D entitlement to drive PCV vehicles on their license, have no more than 6 penalty points and have completed at least 3 modules of their driver CPC qualification. They will also be required to undergo an enhanced CRB check as the posts will involve working with children.

We offer competitive rates of pay, starting from £8.80 per hour as well as training and other benefits.
