General Operations Manager, Bristol

We are seeking an experienced bus operations professional to manage our Bristol depots, ensuring that they provide safe, compliant, punctual, reliable, high quality and cost effective transport services.

Reporting to the Regional Manager, the General Operations Manager will lead and develop a team of service supervisors, administrative staff and drivers, taking forward the delivery of our Park & Ride, day centre and other transport services in the Bristol area.

The successful candidate will be a talented road passenger transport professional with extensive experience of service improvement through operations management and budget/financial management. You will have strong written and verbal communications skills and a track record of leading and developing teams.

A Certificate of Professional Competence in National Road Passenger Transport or other recognised qualification is a pre-requisite for the role. Owing to the nature of the operation, some flexible working is required and the postholder will be on an emergency call out rota.

Commercial Finance Manager, London

We are looking for a dynamic and ambitious commercial finance manager to expand the existing team with the skills, commercial acumen, leadership and passion to support our continued growth.

This role is key to our continued success, bringing strong financial business partnering to aid our commercial decision making, forecasting, business modelling, reporting and analysis. The successful candidate will be a highly effective communicator, working closely with senior managers to deliver financial results and social impact.

Based in our Curtain Road Head Office the role will be responsible for managing and developing an assistant management accountant.

The successful candidate will be a qualified accountant (CCAB recognised qualification), highly motivated, with a mix of strong communication and analytical skills – with experience of preparing Management Accounts essential. The ideal candidate will also have proven experience in process improvement and commitment to HCT Group’s values as a social enterprise.

Head of Community Transport and Stakeholder Engagement, Hackney, £Competitive

HCT Group is seeking to recruit a Head of Community Transport and Stakeholder Engagement. The post holder will lead on the identification and development of new service business opportunities designed to serve people with mobility difficulties, in line with the organisation’s strategic aims. 

This will include developing and designing services to meet the changing needs of service users and commissioners in health and social care, working closely with HCT Group’s business development team and operational team.

Along with working closely with internal colleagues there will be a focus on building business through effective community engagement and partnerships, as well as building on current opportunities which include: Travel Training; development of social care work; proposals to develop Car Club; and Ageing Better, Hackney.

The role will play a significant part in expanding the current community transport service provision in London and the South East, raising the profile of HCT Group with the local community and contribute to the charity’s capacity to respond to external opportunities.

MyBus drivers, Leeds and Wakefield depots, from £8.67 per hour

CT Plus Yorkshire currently has a number of vacancies at its Leeds and Wakefield depots for qualified PCV drivers to deliver its MyBus home to school services.

A variety of vacancies currently exist as term time only drivers operating from our Leeds depot. Applicants must hold a valid Category D entitlement to drive PCV vehicles on their license, have no more than 6 penalty points and have completed at least 3 modules of their driver CPC qualification. They will also be required to undergo an enhanced CRB check as the posts will involve working with children.

We offer competitive rates of pay, starting from £8.67 per hour as well as training and other benefits.

London red bus drivers - recruiting now

We currently recruiting experienced bus drivers who are interested in driving for our London red bus services. If you have a full, clean PCV licence and are interested in working from our Ash Grove bus depot in Hackney, London, we would be delighted to hear from you.

Please download and complete an application form and send it to us with a photocopy of both parts of your driving licence and your PCV licence.  You will need to bring the originals with you if called for interview. The post requires you to be able to pass a Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) check and involves random drug and alcohol screening.
