Vehicle Engineer Apprenticeships, Hackney,

Currently we have Vehicle Engineering Apprenticeships for our Engineering department based out of our Hackney Depot. Our apprenticeship is a four-year programme which comes with a Mechelec – a combined mechanical and electrical qualification The first three years are spent on the job learning in the depot with an allocated mentor to offer help and guidance. It includes attending a specialist training facility on a block release basis. The fourth year of the programme has been specially designed by us to consolidate technical skills already obtained and is certificated by the Institute of the Motor Industry.

Upon completion of your training, you will be awarded an Advanced Apprenticeship (Modern Apprenticeship in Scotland) in Bus and Coach Engineering Maintenance and will have the opportunity to become a member of the Society of Operations Engineers.

Requirements: You must have or expect to achieve 3 GCSEs at Grade C or Grade 4 or above, Standard Grade 1 - 3 or National 4 or 5 in English Language, Mathematics and a Science (or equivalent qualification) and have a genuine interest in engineering.

Administrative Supervisor, Fulham, £Comp

We are seeking an Administrative Supervisor at our depot on Bagley’s Lane to provide administrative support for our operations team.

The post involves the full range of administrative and clerical tasks, plus engaging with our customers, ensuring we provide the highest possible standard of service to our customers. The role also includes supervisory responsibilities, working alongside a team of supervisors to support the safe and reliable operation of the depot.

The successful candidate will be an experienced administrator with a genuine talent for organisation, excellent communication skills and the full range of competences expected in an office environment. A knowledge of health and safety and experience of supporting disciplinary or grievance processes would be a distinct advantage.

Travel Trainers, Lambeth, £comp

We are seeking enthusiastic individuals who can work independently to join our fast growing team of Travel Trainers in Lambeth.  Travel Training is a highly responsible and rewarding job, working with young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities to help enhance their independence - and ultimately improve their life chances.

Travel Trainers work between 16-20 hours per week on a split shift, operating at school drop off and pick up times (approx. 7.30 – 9.30 am and 2.30 – 4.30 pm).  They are based in the community, working one-to-one to support individuals to travel independently using public transport.  These roles are based in Lambeth, with some requirement to travel to neighbouring boroughs as they accompany our young people to their schools or other educational establishments.

Successful candidates will need to have good communication skills, demonstrate an understanding of disability issues, and display a caring, patient and level headed attitude in the delivery of the service. They will have a genuine interest in working with vulnerable people and have the ability to communicate with people in a clear, pleasant and friendly manner. They must also be willing to undertake and to satisfy an enhanced DBS check.  Travel Training experience is not required as a full training package will be provided.

PCV bus drivers, Bristol, £Comp

We have won an exciting new contract to deliver bus services under contract to the West of England Unified Authority and are seeking to recruit qualified PCV bus drivers for the service.

Drivers, Waltham Forest, London, £comp, 25 hrs per week

We are recruiting drivers to work on our contracts providing Special Educational Needs transport in Waltham Forest.

Based out of our Walthamstow Avenue Depot near the Walthamstow Greyhound Stadium, we offer a competitive rate of pay, an average of 25 hours per week during school terms times, approx 39 weeks per year. Additional overtime may also be available. Annual leave to be taken during school holidays.

Drivers will require a full D1 or D category PCV licence, relevant CPC qualification, and must be able to pass an enhanced DBS check. Experience of working with people with disabilities would be a distinct advantage. A full job description is available here.

If you have a full, clean PCV licence and are interested in working from our Ash Grove bus depot in Hackney - or our Walthamstow Avenue depot in Walthamstow - we would be delighted to hear from you.

MyBus drivers, Leeds and Wakefield depots, from £9.19 per hour

CT Plus Yorkshire currently has a number of vacancies at its Leeds and Wakefield depots for qualified PCV drivers to deliver its MyBus home to school services.

A variety of vacancies currently exist as term time only drivers operating from our Leeds depot. Applicants must hold a valid Category D entitlement to drive PCV vehicles on their license, have no more than 6 penalty points and have completed their driver CPC qualification. They will also be required to undergo an enhanced DBS check as the posts will involve working with children.

We offer competitive rates of pay, starting from £9.19 per hour as well as training and other benefits.
