Independent Travel Coordinator: London

We are seeking a dedicated and hard-working individual to join our fast growing team, to lead a team of travel trainers to provide a high quality, independence-enhancing service to young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities.

Key aspects of the role include, meeting and assessing young people, introducing the service to parents and schools, conducting risk assessments and proactively managing the team.

HCT Group is a £45M turnover business that runs transport services across the UK.  It is a social enterprise because it reinvests surpluses made from contracts won on the competitive market in further transport services and projects in the communities that it serves.  We provide one-to-one training to young people with special educational needs and disabilities, with the goal of enabling them to travel on public transport independently, gaining independence and life skills that significantly improve their life chances.

Successful applicants will have experience of working with young people with Special Educational Needs, have undertaken risk and individual assessments and have strong communication skills across diverse audiences.

Jobs will be based in Lambeth and Camden and combine some office based desk work with assessments (in homes / schools / local community).  You must also be willing to undertake an enhanced DBS check.

Travel Training Manager, London

We are seeking an enthusiastic and self-motivated individual to join our fast growing team, to develop and deliver an innovative new Travel Training service in Lambeth, and oversee our existing Camden programme.

The London Travel Training Manager will be tasked with a range of responsibilities from working with stakeholders (schools, parents, funders) to develop the service, training and managing a team of trainers and co-ordinators, managing a complex budget including regular reporting to funders and investors and planning for future service development.

Successful applicants will have experience of delivering projects with multiple stakeholders and deadlines, strong communication skills across diverse audiences and an understanding of the needs of children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities, and their carers.

You will have a genuine interest in working with vulnerable people and have the ability to communicate with people in a clear, pleasant and friendly manner. You must also be willing to undertake an enhanced DBS check.

Day Cleaner, Bristol, £comp

We are seeking to appoint a Day Cleaner at our Parsons Street Depot in Bristol. The post holder will be responsible for making sure the vehicles are cleaned and maintained to a high standard -opening and closing the depot, covering driving duties as required.

A PCV Driving Licence and Driver Qualification Card are desirable for this role, however candidates will be trained if they do not have one. You will also need to undertake an enhanced CRB check.

Community Transport Drivers, LaSCoT, (South East London), £comp

We are seeking friendly, reliable, professional drivers to join HCT Group in our South East London depot in providing transportation and support to users of our services according to their individual needs and requirements.

As well as being an excellent driver with a sound understanding of the needs of young and older and disabled people, (as you will be working with vulnerable people), you must hold a clean D or D1 driving licence. Due to the nature of the of our service users with whom you will be working, you must hold an enhanced DBS certificate. You should possess excellent communications skills, be flexible, honest, have a “Can Do” attitude and be confident working on your own initiative.

Driver Supervisor, West London depots, £comp

We are seeking to appoint a Driver Supervisor to work on contracts providing Special Education Needs and Adult Social Care transportation in West London. The post holder will be responsible for making sure our services run smoothly, opening and closing the depots, ensuring services depart and run on time, ensuring vehicles are roadworthy, covering all driving and passenger assistant duties as required and covering the office.

A PCV driving licence and CPC card are essential for this role, along with an enhanced DBS certificate.

MyBus drivers, Leeds and Wakefield depots, from £9.01 per hour

CT Plus Yorkshire currently has a number of vacancies at its Leeds and Wakefield depots for qualified PCV drivers to deliver its MyBus home to school services.

A variety of vacancies currently exist as term time only drivers operating from our Leeds depot. Applicants must hold a valid Category D entitlement to drive PCV vehicles on their license, have no more than 6 penalty points and have completed at least 3 modules of their driver CPC qualification. They will also be required to undergo an enhanced DBS check as the posts will involve working with children.

We offer competitive rates of pay, starting from £9.01 per hour as well as training and other benefits.
