The Role – Regional Fleet Engineering Manager 

We are looking for a technically strong Regional Fleet Engineering Manager to provide clear leadership for our Yorkshire Depots. Reporting to the Regional General Manager, the role-holder will be responsible for the planning and management of the Engineering facilities across multiple HCT Group sites. 


Pay and Benefits

About You 

The successful candidate will require: 

  • A CPC Passenger Transport Managers Licence 
  • Be IOSH qualified 
  • Exceptional understanding of the road passenger transport sector and full operational knowledge of the bus industry 
  • Must be fully up to date with legal and external regulations and requirements for passenger carrying vehicles 
  • Must hold an excellent working knowledge of daily site procedures, engineering processes, health and safety regulations, DVSA standards, and people management practices and legal requirements relating to vehicle specifications 


Your Responsibilities 

  • In line with specified targets, contractual obligations and commercial objectives the Engineering Manager will provide accurate feedback on departmental cost and capabilities to the Group Director of Engineering and Regional Manager (Yorkshire) via KPI’s and other reporting systems.  
  • This role will be responsible for building team capability to meet the Company’s engineering targets for MOT’s, Servicing, EQM and lost mileage ensuring that all vehicles maintained in the workshop meet company Operators’ licence, Engineering policy and statutory law in respect of safety, reliability and condition through effective work planning control, preventative maintenance and maximum utilisation of staff and facilities.
