The Role – Insurance and Claims Officer - 8 Hours Per week 

We are looking for a technically strong Insurance and Claims Officer you will providing support to the Head of Health, Safety and Environment.   

 

Pay and Benefits 

Attracting a salary of £39,000 pro rata, with benefits including 26 days annual leave plus bank holidays pro rata, 4 x DIS Benefit, Mental Health Wellbeing Support and continued professional development and potential progression.

The successful candidate will require:

Your Responsibilities 

  • Prepare weekly or monthly data for Head of HSE or Operations & Engineering Director in preparation for Exec or Group-wide meetings: e.g., MPR, Group HSE
  • Collate, review, and analyse insurance-based statistics relating to claims handling, reserves, payments and insurance policies. Prepare graphical and table-oriented presentations showing trends, patterns, and results of insurance specific performance
  • Handle any incoming claims queries within HCT Group and identify which insurer or claims handler should receive this information. Relay any significant updates on claims to the Head of HSE and/or Group Road Risk Manager. This could include internal queries from depot staff or external communication from Third Parties
  • Update fleet lists with both the Motor Insurance Database and the claim and recovery handler, to ensure we have accurate insurance coverage in place at all times. This includes liaising with the Freeway manager and depot managers to ensure that they have updated us when vehicle movements take place
